Repentance from sin and faith in the Jesus Christ, who was crucified and resurrected from the dead, is what God says saves sinners because He is the one who grants repentance. Since God is the one who grants saving faith, which is by grace alone, then it is called Soli Gratia. Some 500 years ago God revealed to Martin Luther the Reformation cry of Sola Gratia—that salvation was by grace alone. God supplies us with all that we need to understand, repent, believe, and be saved by grace alone, so He gets all the glory!
