Calvin’s last words confirm he held to the reformation cry Soli Deo Gloria, which means to the glory of God alone! The desire to give God glory was the rainbow that bent over Calvin’s life. He did not seek fame. He did not seek wealth. He lived a modest life, worked hard, died poor, and had as the goal of everything he did, Soli Deo Gloria, which is our focus for this sermon.
