Solomon: A Lighthouse

Ezra, seeing the disobedience of the men of Israel in his day, holds Solomon up as a lighthouse of a bad example that imparts wisdom by teaching us all that we must flee from immorality. From Neh. 13:26 I want to first consider with you Solomon’s sin, second, Solomon’s privileges, and third, the sin of immorality, which we must all avoid, so that we live holy lives, maintain a godly witness, love our wives, love our children, set an example for our friends, and be the men God that God calls every one of us to be.
