What happens when the church becomes a place of division instead of unity? How does selfishness within the body of Christ dishonor the very act meant to unite us—the Lord’s Supper? From 1 Corinthians 11:17-22, we explore Paul’s stern rebuke to the Corinthian church where he confronts them for indulging in selfishness and creating divisions in the gathering. How can we avoid these pitfalls and ensure that our gatherings honor Christ and reflect the unity we are called to as His body?
