Biblical Parenting Methods

Biblical parenting requires biblical methods. The world is not going to teach you how to train your children to the glory of God. Don’t look to the world and unbelievers to help you parent. Forget about popular trends that come and go. There are two primary challenges when teaching about parenting. First, giving people the biblical data, but not giving them helpful examples of how to apply that biblical data, often leads to frustration. Parents see the biblical goal, but they don’t know how to achieve the goal.
A second challenge when teaching on parenting is spending too much time on “how to examples” and not enough time on what the Bible says about parenting. Helpful examples of how things might be done are often confused with biblical mandates and what must be done.
