Acquire an Unflinching Love

All marriage problems might be distilled down into three categories: 1) We don’t understand God’s blueprint for marriage. 2) We understand God’s blue print for marriage, but don’t want to submit to it. Or 3) We understand God’s blueprint for marriage, want to submit to it, but don’t know how to put God’s Word into practice.

You can have a great marriage. Your spouse can be your best friend, your closest confidant, the source of your greatest earthly pleasure and happiness. This is how God designed marriage. God wants you to experience the wonders of all that marriage can be and He gives you all the resources you need to receive the fulness of a God glorifying marrige.

This does not mean things will never break down in your marriage now and then, but God is the great marriage mechanic. He can repair your marriage. He can give you a Ferrari marriage. You don’t have to yell or scream at each other, ever! Disagreements don’t need to end with hurt feelings and a cold war. God gives you all you need to have a great marriage. Yet, He expects you to use the resources He gives you to be blessed.
