Uncovering Headship and Headcoverings

1 Corinthians 11:2-16 has long been regarded by many as one of the most difficult passages in the Bible to interpret. Most Christians have read this section of Paul’s letter to the Corinthians and are left wondering not only, “what does that mean?” but also, “what should I do about it?” Is this passage relevant to us today and what makes it so difficult to understand? In this sermon, we begin by surveying the entire section on head coverings and asking sixteen interpretive questions of the text.
