In Daniel 5 we learn from the folly of Belshazzar the king and his nobles to never mock God, presume upon God, or act wickedly. As Belshazzar and his nobles partied with the sacred vessels of the temple in Jerusalem, honoring their false gods and idols, suddenly a hand sent by God appeared and wrote a strange message on the wall. Daniel is summoned and interprets the message. Belshazzar he has been weighed in the balances and been found wanting. That night, Babylon fell to the Medo-Persian armies.
