The Summer Sessions - a week of concentrated Bible teaching, treats, food, and fellowship to help you stay focused on the Lord until ministries start back up in the fall.

Session Speakers


Dr. Jack Hughes, Lead Pastor/Teacher
Anchor Bible Church of Louisville

Jack grew up in the mountains of Idaho and later met his wife, Lisa, while attending Boise State University. Jack and Lisa have been married since 1984, are parents of 3 grown children and now grandparents of three. Jack received his Masters of Divinity degree in expository preaching from The Master’s Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree in expository preaching from Westminster Theological Seminary in Escondido, CA. Jack is passionate about expository preaching, discipling men, and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. Jack has over 30 years of pastoral experience, is a published author, and when time permits likes to work on his personal website aimed at helping equip preachers and Bible teachers at drivennails.com. 
Pastor Jack will kick-off The Summer Sessions on Tuesday evening.

Jacob Higdon, Associate Pastor
Anchor Bible Church of Louisville

Jacob was born and raised in the Louisville area and has been a part of Anchor Bible Church since the summer of 2013. He is husband to Kari and together they have three children, Charity, Hope, and John. Jacob has a passion for expository preaching and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in theology through the Master’s Seminary, Mentor Model program. 
Jacob will be teaching the Wednesday evening session.

Greg Peterson, Pastor
Anchor Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas

Greg grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado & the desert of Tucson, Arizona. Greg has received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible/Theology from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, as well as a Masters of Divinity degree and Masters of Theology degree in pastoral ministry-Bible-theology from The Master's Seminary in So. California. Greg is passionate about expository preaching, biblical discipleship, being hospitable, loving the saints, and serving the church. Greg has over 20 years of church ministry experience as a deacon, an elder, a youth pastor, a lead teaching pastor, and helped to start Anchor Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas in June of 2020. Greg is an amateur coffee snob, loves a juicy burger, and smoking meats.  He met his wife, Michelle, while singing in the Chorale at Moody Bible Institute and now they are learning how to shepherd a teenager they adopted in December.
Greg will be teaching on Thursday, for the men on Friday, and for our Sunday service.

Michelle Peterson
Anchor Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas

Michelle was raised in the Kansas City area and met her husband at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago while getting her Bachelor of Music degree.  They married in 2007 and in Dec 2023 they adopted their 14-year-old son, Mason. Michelle loves taking care of the home, playing in the garden, biking the trails of northwest Arkansas, serving her church through music and the women's ministry, and helping to keep her husband's duckies in a row.
Michelle will be teaching the ladies for the Saturday session.

Meals will be provided by Anchor Bible Church Tuesday through Saturday.   Sign up is required.

We need dessert volunteers for the Wednesday and Thursday sessions.  Please sign up below to bring two dozen hand-held desserts such as cookies, cupcakes, and brownies.

If you would like to donate toward the cost of meals, please do so by using the regular offering box or by giving online. On the giving page from the dropdown under "fund," please designate your gift for "Summer Sessions."

Childcare


Childcare is available during the teaching portion of  the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Sessions, from 6:45pm - 8:00pm, and during the 10:00am Sunday Session.
